Kate Beckinsale vamps it up in clingy black gown with sheer lace accents at the Costume Designers Guild Awards

Kate Beckinsale turned out another amazing ensemble and that in itself was worthy of an award.

The 42-year-old English actress captivated all as she attended the 2016 Costume Designers Guild Awards in Beverly Hills on Tuesday.

Kate chose a vampy black and lace-accented gown that clung to her slender figure and finished with flourishing trumpet train.

Playing up the vamp appeal: Kate Beckinsale was stunning in a black and sheer lace-accented gown at the Costume Designers Guild Awards in Beverly Hills on Tuesday
Sheer black lace panels ran down the sides while the back was a marvel of sheer design held together by a network of small buttons.

Kate wore her long, burnished brown hair pulled up in a high ponytail that showed off her bare shoulders and showcased the back as well.

She may not have won an award, but Kate was pleased to present one at the star-studded event held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel.

The brunette beauty presented the Excellence In Fantasy Film Award to costume designer Jenny Beavan for Mad Max: Fury Road.
Afterwards, Kate enjoyed a photo op with the overjoyed Beavan backstage.
Beavan, meanwhile, recently insisted that she was 'not upset' after Stephen Fry labelled her a 'bag lady' at the BAFTAs last weekend.
The costume designer has now insisted she is still good friends with ceremony host Stephen and wasn't in the slightest bit offended by his joke about her casual attire.
Jenny, who received a trophy at that awards ceremony too for her work on Mad Max: Fury Road, told The Telegraph,' Yes we are friends, and I am absolutely not upset'.
Kate also bumped into that other 'Cate' - Cate Blanchett - behind-the-scenes at the show.

Poised: Kate sat demurely at the table and her hair and make-up still looked perfect
The two actresses greeted each other warmly and clutched hands.
Kate was also spotted sitting at the table and looking like she'd barely touched her dinner.
Her hair was perfect and her make-up was impeccable from the dramatic eye shadow and liner to the rose-tinted lips.
Meanwhile, Kate and her husband Len Wiseman announced they were to divorce in November last year, after 11 years of marriage.
