While Katie without a doubt turned heads with her sparkling gown, she opted to keep the remainder of her ensemble simple and chic.
She slicked her brunette back into a sensible ponytail to put her famous face front and centre.
Mascara and eyeliner brought out her hazel eyes as blush highlighted her sun kissed complexion.
Katie looked glam with gold bracelets, rings, and a pair of pointed black heels for a finishing touch.
The star-studded turnout also included Jennifer Hudson, Odeya Rush, Lucy Liu, and Scout Willis, all who no doubt were eager to take in Posen's latest collection.
Jennifer looked incredible in a bright floral print coat while Odeya donned an emerald green dress with a sweetheart neckline.
Scout took a seat between Katie and Odeya in a green and purple frock with short sleeves.
As models walked the runway, Katie and her fellow seat mates looked riveted to the catwalk.
Zac's glamorous gowns are no stranger to the red carpet, and the designer has enjoyed an incredibly prolific career for years.
'Even starting out at such a young age, he's always been very clear about who he is and what his design aesthetic is,' Anna Wintour said to the New York Times in 2013.
'He hasn’t worried about following the latest trends in fashion. He does like to make women look incredibly glamorous and sexy at night. He understands who his customer is, whether it's a benefit in Texas or dressing a celebrity for the Met.'
Meanwhile, Katie will soon be back on the big screen with a role in Touched With Fire.
She and Luke Kirby star as lovers who suffer from bipolar disorder in the upcoming film.
With a challenging subject matter like mental illness as one of the main themes, Katie spent some time preparing for the role.
During a recent appearance on Live With Kelly & Michael, the star said: 'Preparing for the role took a lot, there was a lot of research and I worked with someone to help me break it down and wrap my head around it.
'You don't want to take on a role like this and not do your best because so many people are suffering from this.'
